When creating bedding it is important to know if you are a laundry person or dry cleaning person, this will be important in
choosing fabric. Most all fabrics can be washed, it should be preshunk first and then washed with care. Most all duvet sizes
require 6 to 6.5 yards per side, with a twin there is leftover for pillows, with a king there is no leftovers. Bedspreads
can require up to 9 yards or more, depending on the height of your mattress. Check the standard size chart for your sizes.
Pillows come is many sizes and shapes, your imagination required. There are standard sizes on bed
pillows and square pillows. Bolsters, round disc and other shapes vary a lot. Refer to the standard size chart. Size
is not an issue, DNDY has created round bolster pillows 12 inches long up to 72 inches long. Texture and pattern are
two important things to remember when choosing fabrcs for pillows. Trimming pillows can be as simple as no trim to welting, brush,
tassle and even beaded or feather. Your imagination required.
Table cloths, placemats
and other softgoods can be made of many fabrics. As with bedding how you clean your softgoods make a difference when
choosing fabrics. There are standard sizes for table cloths however for your specific table you may want a longer or shorter
drop, you may want a fitted cloth with pleats at corners and such, so give it some thought. Refer to the standard size chart
for sizes.
